Pro Action --> Pro Action-RAPTOR compatible with DSMC3 and previous RED DSMC and DSMC2 cameras.

Benefits:

• The PA-R upgrade preserves your investment.  No need to purchase a new housing.
• Once upgraded, PA-R remains a dedicated, fast-action rig.  Whales, mantas, bait balls – anything where compact and streamlined are paramount.
• PA-R is backward compatible with RED DSMC2 (Raven / Weapon / Scarlet-W, Weapon, Monstro), original DSMC platform (Scarlet / Epic / Dragon) and ARRI Mini cameras.
• PA-R utilizes the integrated external monitor housing, Transvideo Starlite

What’s included in the Upgrade:

• Raptor Adapter.  Positions DSMC3 RAPTOR perfectly for use with compact PL / Canon EF /  Nikon F mount lenses, and newer Canon RF mount lenses, like the LAOWA 9 / 12 / 15 Zero-D super compact primes.

• Interface cables. Pro Action was built with multi-camera support in mind.  Housing interface cables specific to DMSC / DSMC2 / ARRI Mini cameras allow for each camera to receive power and R/S inputs.  A new set of power and R/S cables for RAPTOR is straightforward.
• Backup Manual Record. Right side control of ABCD assignables on DSMC2 is switched out to a backup record / stop control for RAPTOR.

• DSMC3:  Camera (No modules). Recording media
• DSMC:    Camera (No modules). REDMAG media.   For setup only:  REDMOTE
• DSMC2.  Camera. Jetpack SDI Module (SKU 720-0047).  Sidekick Module (SKU 7200032).   REDMAG media.    For setup only: FOOLCONTROL (via wifi / smartphone)
• ARRI Mini.  Camera.  Recording media.

FAQ’s

• Can I use the integrated External Monitor with this upgrade? 
  
  • Yes indeed! The integrated External Monitor for the Transvideo Starlite is compatible with all cameras.
• Can I use existing RED External Monitors e.g. RTB7 or RT47?   
  
  • Unfortunately, no.  RED LCD’s compatible with DSMC2 are not so with DSMC3.
• When can I get my Pro Action upgraded to PA-R?
  
  • Soon.  As with DEEP RAPTOR, global parts shortages are affecting rollout.  More to follow on this topic.
• How fast is the housing changeover from Mini / DSMC / DSMC2 / DSMC3 cameras in Pro Action - RAPTOR? 
  
  • 15 TO 45 minutes depending on familiarity.
• What limitations exist using DSMC3 RAPTOR in PA-R?   
  
  • Pro Action was designed as a ‘set and forget’ system for fast action scenarios. This remains consistent with DMSC3 RAPTOR.  Controls are System Power, R/S, backup R/S and 2x Lens Gear Drives.
